The Greater Towson Council of Community Associations realizes that its name is a mouthful, and that the acronym can be confusing. So it’s making a change.

The GTCCA is now the Towson Communities Alliance.“The old name was good in that it tells you exactly what the group is, however, it did not exactly roll of the tongue,” said president Bryan Fischer. “We are not changing the structure of the group or how it exists, we’re just rebranding.”

The nonprofit is an umbrella group representing about 30 community associations in the greater Towson area.

The new name and logo will be unveiled at Thursday night’s meeting. The logo was designed was by Maureen Lindler of Moxie Designs.
