I wanted to give you an update of the work planned for the tie-ins to the 42†Towson Transmission Main over the next few weeks. As it stands now, we have completed 3 tie-in and have the following planned as nightwork:
- March 17: 20″ tie-in on Hillen & Burke, periodic activity at the storage lot on Towsontown
- March 18 & 19: 36″ tie-in on Bosley and Kenilworth, periodic activity at the storage lot on Towsontown
- March 21: 12″ tie-in on Bosley and Allegheny, periodic activity at the storage lot on Towsontown
- March 22: 16″ tie-in on Towsontown and Jefferson, periodic activity at the storage lot on Towsontown (TENTATIVE)
- March 29, 30 & 31: 16″ tie-in on Towsontown and Bosley, direct impact to the Pallisades
The following is last step to completing the main work and will be completed during day shifts:
- April 4 through 8: 48″ tie-in on Burke Ave at the Towson Pumping Station
The water work will be done by the end of the first week in April with clean up and restoration to follow. Our contractor will be restoring the storage yard on Towsontown, replacing curb, reinstalling lights, etc. with repaving to follow (administered by Bureau of Highways).
