News from County Councilman David Marks:
I am writing to alert you to the imminent installation of two new speed cameras in the Fifth District, one at Seven Courts Drive near Seven Oaks Elementary School, and another on Goucher Boulevard at Loch Raven Academy.
According to the Baltimore County Police Department, “the installation is scheduled to start in the next few days. For 30 days after each camera is activated, motorists exceeding the speed limit by at least 12 miles per hour will receive warnings rather than citations. Citations will be issued after 30 days. In compliance with state law, the cameras will only be in use Monday through Friday, between the hours of 6 a.m. and 8 p.m. Speed cameras will remain in use throughout the summer months, during the days and hours listed above, as our school sites are used for summer school, recreation and parks activities, summer athletics, and other child-oriented activities.”
Please feel free to distribute.
